Mara Cabral

Mara is a versatile visual artist specializing in photography and mixed media. Her profound passion for the natural world and a keen interest in animal behavior led her to pursue a degree in Veterinary Science, which she completed in 1999. Alongside her career in veterinary science, Mara discovered an interest in dance, culminating in a BA in Contemporary Dance and Choreography.

Mara's fascination with the interplay between different art forms and their impact on well-being has been a driving force in her career. She has practiced and taught dance improvisation and mindful movement across Spain and Portugal. In Wales, she advanced her photography skills at Sir Gar College, obtaining an SA-level qualification.

After a period of exploration and practice, Mara launched her own photography business, The Wind and Sun Photography, focusing on fine art photography and self-portraiture. Her work delves into the empowering and healing potential of art, a theme she continuously investigates. Mara brings a unique combination of her passions for the natural world, photography, art, and creative movement into her approach, empowering others to connect, express, and grow.
