Dr Ross Watson (BSc, DClinPsy) is a Qualified Clinical Psychologist, registered with the HCPC. Ross has worked for over a decade in the NHS as an applied psychologist and has run a private practice over the last seven years. Ross has undertaken further, advanced clinical skills & supervision training in compassion-focused therapy (CFT) and mentalisation-based therapy (MBT). He is an approved MBT Supervisor with the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families.
Ross is particularly passionate about applying the science of compassion to his work with individuals, teams, and organisations with a focus on developing and enhancing resilience and wellbeing. He has extensive clinical experience in working with individuals, teams, and systems in the context of mental health. His areas of specialist interest include autism spectrum, trauma, complex emotional, behavioural, and interpersonal difficulties, forensic psychology, and staff wellbeing. Ross adopts a person-centred, strengths-based approach to support individuals, using a combination of the following evidence-based therapies and approaches:
